The Friends of the Environment 17th Edition Walkathon comes to Mashonaland East on Friday 27 November, under the banner of the 500 Million Tree Walk. Walkers set off from Bhunu Turn Off and finish 18 km later at Mrewa Center, in support of tree planting and ecosystem restoration. Registration is at Nyaradzo in Marondera, Chivhu, Mtoko and Murehwa, and the organisers can be reached on the numbers and email below (the last number is on WhatsApp). A worthwhile day out for anyone who wants to put in the kilometres for Zimbabwe's trees.
