How we use AI
We use AI tools to help research and draft; every piece is fact-checked and edited by our team, and sources are linked in full. Nothing goes live until someone on the team has checked its facts, quotes, names, dates, image credit, headline and summary against the original sources.
Where an image is AI-generated, we say so under the image. Photos are credited to the photographer or outlet they came from.
Sources
Every article ends with a list of the sources it draws on, linked so you can read them yourself. We aim for three to five sources per story, from different vantage points where they exist, and we say in the text who reported what. The "context" slides at the top of our articles each link to the source for that fact.
Events
Our event listings are written from the organisers' own flyers and announcements. We only list an event once its date is clear, and we update or mark the page if an event is changed or postponed. Check with the organiser before you travel.
Corrections
If we get something wrong, we fix it. When an article is substantially revised after it first went up, it shows the date it was last updated. To report an error, email info@thedjeuce.co.zw with a link to the story and what needs correcting.
Independence
The Djeuce is an independent Zimbabwean publication. We cover music, tech, gaming, culture and the stories behind them with a Zimbabwean lens. Sponsored content, if we ever run it, will be clearly labelled.
