Born on the 8th of August 1981 Tongayi Chirisa is a Zimbabwean actor based in the United states of America you’ve probably seen him on the big screen a couple of times but did you know?

Tongayis first appearance on screen was in a local soap called studio 263 where he played a cop called detective Davis.

He starred in a local film called Tanyaradzwa in which he won a Nama award for best actor and television.

He migrated to South Africa and scored a major break when he got to star alongside Leon Schuster in Mr bones 2 as Hekule the king of kuvikiland.

Bigger things were set to happen for Tongayi as he went on to star in NBCs Crusoe, Sleepy Hollow, Whitney the lifetime Whitney Houston biopic, izombie, Happiness is a four letter word alongside south africas finest talent, Palm springs starring Andy Samberg which scored a 95% in ratings on rotten tomatoes as well as Antebellum.

Tongayi is also quite the crooner having teamed up with Tammy on a duet called usacheme.

Despite the levels of success Tongayi has experienced he remains a humble grounded character off screen always ready to share knowledge about his experiences on screen.
